Nicole Burch

In her travels, the South Pacific and Oceania have certainly captured a place in Nicole’s heart. She describes New Caledonia as a somewhat off-the-radar destination full of gorgeous, luscious scenery and the most incredible blue ocean. 

But it was her trip to New Zealand that truly cemented her love of travel. There, she truly embraced living with and making meaningful connections with people from all over the world. Highlights of that trip included sleeping in tents and vans in beautiful spots all over the country, sometimes waking at 3 am to hike mountains to watch the sunrise. She proudly carries the distinction of often being the oldest backpacker in a sea of young bucks. 

Her first travel memory was a road trip to Banff with her grandparents. As a child, she aspired to become a flight attendant or a photographer someday, and for quite some time, she read books exclusively about France, as she dreamt of living there someday.  

Nicole describes her preferred type of travel as spontaneous and adventurous, rather than relaxing. Even when the day comes to finally hang up her consulting hat and retire, she plans to continue on a grand adventure to hop about as many different countries as circumstances will allow.
