Khalid’s journey into the world of travel began long before he crossed the oceans to reach Canada. It all started in 2001, when he and his family took their first flight to Riyadh. That unforgettable experience opened his eyes and heart to the excitement, adventure, and wonder of discovering new places. 

Over the years, he has come to realize that travelling with his family brings some of the most rewarding and cherished memories. These shared experiences strengthen bonds and add a special warmth to each journey.  

Among all the destinations they have explored together, Dubai remains especially close to their heart. They usually try to spend as much time there as possible — and few experiences can compare to the joy of driving through the golden desert as a family, then gathering for a barbecue beneath the stars, surrounded by the serene beauty of the evening sand. 

Beyond flying, driving is a true passion of Khalid’s. He likes to say, “Hand me the wheel, and I’m ready for any road”. One of the most memorable road trips he has ever taken was through Alberta. The province’s stunning landscapes and natural beauty made it an unforgettable trip that he would highly recommend to any traveller. 

His life as an independent traveller began shortly after graduation, after taking his first solo trip — once again to Riyadh. That trip marked a new chapter, and since then, he has had the privilege of exploring world-class cities like London, Frankfurt, Paris, Istanbul, Colombo, and, of course, Dubai. 

When not exploring new destinations, he enjoys indulging in Hyderabadi Biryani, especially when prepared in the traditional Indian style. He is also passionate about playing cricket and spending time with friends — both of which he states keep him grounded and connected, no matter where in the world he is.
